When buying Chicken Leg bands or Poultry Leg bands in general, please measure your birds' legs Diameter - that is the widest part of the leg and add a millimeter or two either side (depending on the birds leg size of course). The leg ring needs fit, but not tightly. Bird breed sizes can vary greatly and there is no such thing as a 'standard' size bird, so you need to make sure of what you are buying. Bellsouth Poultry cannot accept returns, exchanges or credits for Leg Rings due to biosecurity, as they are too likely to have been used and therefore cannot be sold again. 

Leg Bands can also expand if they are put on legs as the chickens grow. So simply using the same size as you bought before is not really a good measure of what will fit, becuase the new bands will not have expanded.  It is not uncommon for people to not notice the leg bands have grown tight on a chooks legs but still order that size when the chooks are older.

Please take your time to accurately measure your birds leg diameter to ensure you order the correct size.
