Osprey Outside Nest - Brown

The Roll-Away nest system keeps eggs cleaner, protects the eggs from scavengers and also from the occasional egg eating chook. The front 'gate' when folded down acts as an access perch for chooks, when closed it will prevent broodies and other layer chickens staying in the nest longer than they should. This nest is mounted through the wall of a chook house so one can open the rear flap with turn lock to access the eggs. Of course, you can get to the eggs from the front as well. Like the inside chook pen rollaway nest box, this nest can lock into another Osprey nests - side by side. Overall a great nest for 4-5 chooks. As always ensure chook roosting perches are higher than nesting areas as this should prevent roosting on or in the nests and is a good idea anyway.
