Chick Box Indoor Nest

The Osprey single Indoor Chick Box is designed to allow eggs to rollaway once laid which avoids broken, pecked and dirty eggs.

• Easy to clean, easy to mount and ideal for the small flocks (up to 5 birds)

• Being made from plastic this nest helps to also avoid red mite, disease and bacteria in the nesting area
• When installing, ensure that the Nest is lower in height than the perches, so the birds will be reluctant to sleep in the nest
• Close perch when the birds are young (before coming into lay) so they will learn to perch at night
• If installing near the perches, it is a good idea to make an anti-perch plate so the birds will not perch on top of the nests at night (see sketch below)
• Rollaway tray with cover keeps eggs from being fouled, pecked or otherwise damaged
• Dimensions: 300mm (W) x 400mm (H) x 550mm (D) with the perch down. Bird compartment is 300mm x 300mm x 300mm

* If Birds perch on top of the nest, tack a piece of metal or wood above the nest so they cannot perch on it (see sketch)
